Originally from Los Angeles and now Dallas-based, I’m a special education teacher and certified academic dyslexia therapist who founded Adducated to support students with ADHD and executive functioning challenges (aka the “I know what to do… I just can’t get myself to do it” struggle).

For years, I watched bright and capable students fall behind. It wasn't because they didn’t understand the material, but because they didn’t have the systems to manage it all. Assignments go missing, projects start to feel overwhelming, and everything turns into a last-minute scramble.

There was a clear gap between what these students were capable of and what they were actually able to show in school.

After working in the school system for 7 years, I had the opportunity to build something more intentional; support for students and their families that focuses not just on academics, but on the skills behind the academics.

That’s how Adducated was born.

Now, I work with students to build the executive functioning skills school doesn’t explicitly teach, like how to start tasks without getting stuck, breaking down overwhelming assignments, staying organized, managing time, all the while balancing the fun parts of school (I see you, band practice!)

My sessions are structured, practical, and hands-on. We don't just talk about strategies, we use them in real time so students can build independence and confidence in a way that will last!

I'm so glad you're here, and I'm looking forward to supporting you and your family in a meaningful way.

OUR PREDICTABLE PATTERN

the adducated
difference

ONE

RELFECTION

Checking on personal life updates and tracking what worked or didn’t work well since the last session. Relationship building is at the core of what we do! If your child made the hockey team, we want to know about it!

TWO

PLANNING

Taking time to document current assignments, upcoming deadlines, quizzes and tests and writing them down

THREE

PRIORITIZING

Determining what needs to happen and when, and starting with the most “daunting” task first. This is where we build grit and perseverance!

FOUR

TACKLING CONTENT

This could be working on math homework or a research paper. We also help students develop the language to reach out their teachers when they need more help in school to master certain pieces of content. We believe that partnering with your child’s teacher is a great way to build a village of support!
